about

Two of the three tracks were recorded as part of the 24 Hour Album Project in early Summer 2015. There is a definite black metal influence at work here - I was listening to Burzum, Watain and Mayhem a lot at the time.Lyrics were inspired by reading Jack Vance and H.P. Lovecraft.

about

Xothun Atlanta, Georgia

Like a blue whale in heat, Xothun is slow, heavy, and noisy. It is fuzzed-out doom riffs, thick droning chords, and electronic ambient soundscapes – a ground shaking, head-splitting wall of sound accompanied by the ramblings of a reclusive heretic.

Track Name: This Dying Earth
Red sun rises
a cold an dying Earth
Behold extravagance, gluttony and avarice
Celebration of man's last years
Inevitable unstoppable creeping death

This Dying Earth

We leave no trace
No one remembers
Behold a lifeless rock
Drifting, spinning, lost in space
The final monument to our existence
Silent, barren, dead
Track Name: The Black Sabbath
In the shadows of the forest, she sheds her skin
Unearthly sacrifice begins again
in the Circle of the Moon

Night creatures gather to bear witness
To the priestess in their midst.
She leads the congregation, collects their souls
To give to the Dark Lord.

Nightmare vision
The Gate to Hell
HE takes her for HIS bride.
Track Name: In the Dreamland
Riding nightmare beasts across a barren sky
Over mountains, carved in ancient visage
A rolling waste of loss and despair
The last gasp of man is the wanderer.

Is it madness, her voice still calls to me?
Across long gone kingdoms, vast aeons and galaxies.
The princess walks alone in her palace so far away.

Atop a temple in extravagant halls decked in symbols of what should not be, seven gods divide the world and prepare to send us all to Hell.
